Welcome back race fans! This weekend we headed to Dickinson's Southwest Speedway on
Saturday night for their season opener. The weather was cold and windy but the grandstands
and pits were full. We started on the pole position for our IMCA modified heat race with the
Larson car. We were able to establish a lead quickly and won the heat race. We went on to
start 9th in the trophy dash and finished 3rd. We again started pole position for the A-main and
the car was very fast. We clocked a time of 16.002 seconds on one lap! There were multiple
cautions and after a re-start, the number 32 car got around us. We were able to take back first
and continued to race until lap traffic in lap 18 slowed us down and the number 7 of Marlyn
Seidler took the lead. We held onto 2nd until 5 laps to go when the drive shaft broke and we
were done for the night. Overall, we were very happy with how the car ran and looked forward
to Sunday at Nodak Speedway.
At Nodak Speedway on Sunday night we got out last year’s car for the first time this season, as
there was a lot to repair on the Larson car and not much time to do it! We finished third in the
heat race. We started 6th in the modified feature. It was a challenge to get back into the J car
after getting used to our new car, but we went on to finish 9th. We again want to thank all of
the great fans that support us every week; we couldn’t do this without you guys. And, make
sure to stop by the trailer after the races to say hi and grab our new 2007 card.
If you see us at the track, make sure to stop by and say hello & thanks for taking the time to
visit wo57.com!

PS: and I'll leave you with a couple of new pictures. Here's a picture of Ann's recent graduation
from Iowa State University in May of 2007. Shown here with Ann and I are my parents, Ole and
Claudia. And the picture after that is another shot of our 2007 Larson Racing modified.
